Upcoming Health & Social Care Webinar: "Infection Prevention & Control During the Covid-19 Pandemic - Supporting, Valuing and Listening to Health & Social Care Workers"

NHS Education for Scotland, ARHAI Scotland and the Scottish Government invite all those working in health and social care settings to attend a FREE webinar on “Infection Prevention and Control during the Covid-19 Pandemic - Supporting, Valuing and Listening to Health and Social Care Workers”.
The webinar will give staff the opportunity to put any concerns and questions to a panel of clinical experts and frontline staff. They will provide the latest information on infection prevention and control measures and the scientific base that underpins them. We will share intelligence on the routes of transmission, including the new variants of Covid-19, and will highlight how different interventions prevent transmission.
The webinar will last for 90 mins: 45 mins presentations / 45 mins Q&A session with a panel of experts
The webinar will be chaired by Jacqui Reilly, Chair of the COVID-19 Nosocomial Review Group (CNRG). Introductory remarks will be given by Norman Provan, Associate Director RCN Scotland, and there will be presentations from clinical experts and those working on the front line, as well as a Q&A session. The webinars will provide an open forum for discussion, where health and social care workers can ask any questions or raise any concerns in relation to the existing IPC measures in place across health and social care in Scotland.

- Recognise the sources of information on which current infection prevention and control Covid-19 guidance is developed and reviewed
- Describe the different layers of control measures put in place to protect those working in health and social care settings during the Covid-19 pandemic
- Explain how data and information on outbreaks informs practice
