Health and Safety Training
Health and Safety training is regarded as essential learning in NES.
To meet the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, NES is required to provide adequate information, instruction, training and the supervision necessary to ensure the health and safety of our employees.
Induction, awareness and specialist health and safety training must be provided and must include exposure to new or increased risk or changes of responsibilities.
Line Managers/Clinical Supervisors are required to ensure that all staff are trained, all health and safety training is up to date and that refresher training is carried out where required.
Health and safety training requirements are detailed in the NES Health and Safety Training Annual Plan. See here.
If you have any questions or require any further information on health and safety training please contact the Clinical Supervisors by raising a support ticket at https://nesdigital.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/30.
Recorded Health and Safety Induction training should be carried out at each new workplace where the GP Trainee operates. This should be carried out by local management.
NES has access to a series of specially developed e-learning modules that GP Trainees are required to complete.
