COVID-19 Accelerated Recruitment
The COVID-19 Accelerated Recruitment Portal is now closed.
For those nursing and midwifery students currently undertaking paid placement your contract will come to an end on either 31st August 2020 or 30 September 2020 depending on your year of study. A letter from the Chief Nursing Officer to all nursing and midwifery students published on the 3rd July 2020 provides further detail and can be accessed here.
It has been agreed with Scottish Government that as of 1st July 2020, no additional nursing & midwifery students will commence paid placements out with the commencement dates already negotiated and agreed therefore, the COVID-19 Accelerated Recruitment Portal is now closed. However, if required, HEIs can discuss availability of supernumerary placements with their local NHS Boards and other practice placement providers.
